Impostor online secret word party game

How to play

One word. Someone does not know it.

Impostor is a deduction party game played on one shared phone. Almost everyone receives a secret word; the Impostors must listen to clues, blend into the group and figure out the word without getting caught. You can configure players, Impostor count, categories, hints, different words, who starts and a round timer.

01

Set up the round

Choose players, Impostors, categories, hints and the round options.

02

Pass the phone

Each person privately reveals their role, then hands the device to the next player.

03

Give clues and vote

Civilians protect the word while Impostors bluff. Then the group tries to expose them.

Modes

Classic

Everyone gets the same word except the Impostors, who must bluff without knowing it.

Custom

Choose the Impostors yourself and optionally use a fixed word or phrase.

All Different

Some players receive different words: compare clues and work out who does not fit.

Draw My Impostor

Everyone adds one stroke to the same drawing while the Impostors try to blend in.

Allupato

Clues become physical: touch, drawing, teasing or gestures replace normal spoken clues.

ALLUPATO mode

The secret word stays. Spoken clues disappear.

ALLUPATO keeps the core Impostor rules: almost everyone knows the secret word and the Impostor has to figure it out without being exposed. What changes is how clues are given. You do not describe the word out loud; on your turn you may communicate it only through one of the four clue styles below.

01

Touch

Suggest the word through consensual touch or by touching a body part, without saying the clue aloud.

02

Draw

Represent the idea with a drawing instead of explaining it. Do not simply write the secret word.

03

Tease

Use a playful tease or small action to point toward the idea without stating the answer.

04

Gesture

Mime the concept with your body or a gesture. No spoken explanation: the group has to interpret it.

Physical contact should always be agreed on. If someone does not want to be touched, use drawing, gestures or another clue style the group is comfortable with.

Built around your group

Play without names

Enter only the player count and pass the phone clockwise when you do not want to type everyone's name.

Optional timer

The round can end automatically after the duration you choose before starting.

Control categories and words

Choose categories, enable or disable individual words and create custom content.
