The best choice is the one your group can understand and start quickly.

Behind the games

Modes start from problems we run into while playing.

This is not only a feature list: we document why options exist, which friction they are meant to remove and what we check when we play-test a round.

Truth or Dare Online

The choices that keep Truth or Dare easy to play

Truth or Dare is simple on paper, but it can become awkward or slow when the game takes too much control away from the group. The product choices are meant to start fast while keeping people in control.

01

Skipping should not become a punishment

A question or dare may not fit the moment. Passing should stay normal, without forcing anyone to explain why they do not want to continue that turn.

02

Intensity is chosen before the round

Casual and adults-only modes are separated and labelled before play starts, so the group can choose the level without surprises midway through a turn.

03

The game handles turn selection

Choosing the player and challenge type automatically means nobody has to act as a permanent host or keep inventing what happens next.

04

One shared phone is enough

The flow is designed to open in a browser and be passed around: no mandatory install for the whole group and no physical materials to prepare.

How we test

We check whether the rules are clear before the first turn, whether the pace stays healthy and whether sensitive options are labelled clearly. Guides are updated when the actual game behaviour changes.

Impostor Game Online

What we changed after actually playing it

Impostor options are not there to make the settings screen look bigger. They come from problems that show up when a real group has to set up, understand and keep a round moving on one shared phone.

01

Start without typing every name

Entering everyone can slow down a large group before the first round. You can use only the player count and pass the phone in order instead.

02

Use a timer only when it helps

Open-ended discussion can drag on. The timer is optional so a group can keep pace when needed without forcing a countdown into every game.

03

Draw My Impostor changes the clue channel

Adding one stroke each prevents every round from relying on the same spoken-clue pattern and makes the Impostor read what the group is building visually.

04

Categories and words stay controllable

If a category does not fit the group, it can be excluded. Individual words can be enabled, disabled or replaced with custom content.

How we test

We focus on time to first turn, phone handoff, dead time and rule clarity. We do not publish percentages or statistical claims that we have not actually measured.
